Message ...other than that, it's gonna be tough. Removing all the sound deadening probably won't save more than 15-20 lbs at most. You've got pretty light wheels I believe, so you're saving weight that way. How about your brakes? Do you still have stock calipers? I think that due to construction materials, some of the big brake kits, despite being physically larger pieces, are actually lighter (and besides that, with the monster motor you've got, big brakes would be a very good idea:). Also, what Carlos said about the hatch. As far as the doors go, there's not very much in there to hollow out. Maybe a carbon fiber hood as well - I saw that CPark is selling CF replacement hoods that look like OEM hoods, so that may save you some weight (do you have the aluminum or steel hood on your car now? The steel is really heavy).

That's about all I know of that you could replace. Strosek has that hugely expensive kit for the Z which replaces a lot of panels with OEM-looking panels in either CF or fiberglas (don't remember which) so maybe looking into a few of those pieces could help.

I imagine you've ditched the EGR and AIV system as well - not a lot of weight there, but in trying to lose half a ton every little bit helps.

This is what Nixit does to the n00bs that don't use Search!
